The Steampacket is situated in an idyllic little fishing village on the utmost tip of the peninsula of the south west coast of Scotland. Although remote we have a small village shop and post office with the nearest town being Whithorn itself. A 5 minute drive away.

Travelling from the south

The directions couldn't be easier, take the M6 up past Carlisle before turning onto the A75 for Stranraer. On reaching Newton Stewart simply follow the signs for isle of Whithorn; you can't go past us, as we are the last village before the sea!
Travelling from the North
(30.0mi, 48.3km)

Either come down the coast road to Girvan and Stranraer or take one of the minor roads through the Galloway hills to Newton Stewart before heading down to the Isle.
